A leading distributor of kitchen utensils wanted to enable their system to post all stock and invoice movements automatically to the general ledger. As they did not own the relevant module (AFI) they purchased this from the supplier and requested IMS to implement it.
Upon agreeing the details of the postings, IMS set up the test system quickly. After detailed and extensive testing, the system went live and is now operational with no human intervention.
As a result, the analysis available has been greatly improved and has removed the need for manual journals. The Company’s Finance Department now confidently know that the stock figures in the accounts are always the same as those in the warehouse.
