Touch Base - Keeping you in-touch with IMS |
|
IMS were recently selected to prepare the GEAC System 21 master data for migration to SAP for Grampian, a project which is crucial to the success of the project and to the company’s long-term IT strategy. The project was carried out over a number of sites all within very strict time constraints, this was done so as not to delay the SAP implementation going live before the start of the next financial year. Understanding the system requirements and mapping them efficiently was key to a smooth transition, whilst making sure the original data was clean and current. IMS was also able to identify areas where System 21 would still be of benefit to Grampian. This project is the latest in a long relationship between Grampian and IMS, resulting in six projects over the past two years. |

Since our last newsletter IMS have employed two additional technical people and a new telesales person. Tech Support A big welcome to Sandra and Dawn who bring a wealth of knowledge and experience with them of AS400’s and GEAC System21 along with RPG, SQL , Java and Visual Basic to name but a few. Telemarketing We welcome our very own telemarketing person Suzy. Suzy joined us this month and will have a sharp learning curve getting to grips with the jargon and terminology of the business. Suzy is very keen to get to know how she can best help IMS’s customers and hopes you will be willing to chat to her when eventually she calls. Again a very warm welcome to Sandra, Dawn and Suzy. |

You’re probably already aware that IMS provides AS400 System 21 support services, what you may not be aware of is, since the launch of IMS Support Services in 2005, the number of enquiries received has almost quadrupled with over 50% of enquiries progressing to contract stage . It’s obvious there is a demand for fairer and friendlier support services that deliver results and not just promises, but what has astounded everyone at IMS is the number of companies who are unhappy with their current service provider, either for financial reasons or due to service quality issues. If you are looking for an alternative support service solution, if you feel you could be getting a better level of service or a better deal elsewhere give us a call. IMS would be more than happy to discuss your business requirements. What’s there to lose? |

After evaluating the alternatives Indespension felt that IMS could provided the best value for money service and have signed with IMS to provide their future AS400 and System 21 support. IMS will provide a fully comprehensive support package tailored to fit Indespension’s requirements.
